Hopefully I’ll see you there!

Pre-exams pub social!

Greetings Grand Adventurers!

This is your shiny new Social Secretary! As of today I have the date for our April social, so you can drink away your sorrows before exam season catches up with you.

The social will be on Saturday the 28th of April, in The Pear Tree, starting at 6:30pm, and carrying on till late. In case you’ve never been there before, the Pear Tree is on 38 West Nicholson Street, very nearby the George Square Campus.

This social is not our Summer Games Social, which we plan to have in May after exams are finished, so keep an eye on your emails for news of that one!

In addition, I would like to remind you that we have an EGM happening on Sunday the 22nd at 5:00pm to deal with next year’s Conpulsion Committee Leader and Nationals Coordinator, as well as an update on the state of the GEAS library.

I hope to see you all at both!

For the glory of GEAS,
Julia Rowe
Social Secretary

PS. Sorry if you get this email several times, We were having trouble with our email, but have now moved to a proper mailing list thing with unsubscribe buttons and such.

Repitches and post-Conpulsion EGM

Greetings Grand Adventurers,

Apologies for this email being somewhat late out, the committee has been rather caught up with Conpulsion. We have exam time repitches this coming week on Wednesday the 18th (18:00 in the Lomond Room) and Sunday the 22nd (12:30 for the afternoon games, 18:00 for the evening games). Please do not feel obliged to attend for this five week slot, and be prepared for fairly fluctuating player numbers, as EXAMS AND COURSEWORK BEFORE ROLEPLAYING! (heinous, I know). In all seriousness, we don’t want anyone to run/play to the detriment of their studies.

Quick reminder that there will also be an EGM on Sunday the 22nd at 17:00 to deal with the next year Conpulsion Committee leader and Nationals coordinator (separate roles), as well as an update on the progress of the library (and whether we still need the role). Hope to see you all there!

For the glory of GEAS!

Wellbeing Officer Checkup

Greetings Grand Adventurers!

This is a PSA from your friendly neighbourhood Wellbeing Officer to remind you that not only do I exist, but there are many ways you could contact me if you needed to! As wellbeing officer, I am the person you go to when you have issues within the society; I will always be here to help you with any GEAS related problems, no matter how big or small.

If you ever need to contact me anonymously, e.g. to make a complaint, you can do so through the GEAS tumblr, which you can privately message by following this link: http://geaswelfare.tumblr.com/.
If you do not have a tumblr, or if you’re simply okay with contacting me without anonymity, you can send me an email to this address: geas.welfare.

Also please feel free to approach me in person with any questions or problems you have! I won’t bite, I promise!

With that said, I hope to see all of you at Conpulsion this weekend!

For the glory of GEAS,
Emily Booth
Wellbeing Officer
