Alice is Missing
System: Alice is Missing Texting RPG
GM: Zain Khawar
Description: Alice is Missing is a short silent role-playing game where you play as 4 friends of Alice (who surprise surprise goes missing). You each take turns over a 90 minute time uncovering clues and suggesting suspects until the truth is revealed. The entire game is by text on discord and we will only have voice at the beginning for prep and the ending for debrief.
What happened to Alice? Is she alive? Will things ever be the same?
Age Rating: 15
Content Advisories: Potentially Murder, Assault and Drug use. This is a story about a girl disappearing so be warned!
System: Avatar: Legends (PbtA)
GM: Vivek Santayana
Description: It is the time of the Hundred Years’ War. The Fire Nation has shattered the peace between the four kingdoms, and the Avatar, an Airbender named Aang, has long since disappeared. While the Fire Nation’s dominance seems to be unrelenting, there are pockets within their vast expanse of territory where their control is not so certain. Players will play young adventurers from the different kingdoms, benders and non-benders alike, as they journey along rebelling against unjust rule, protecting the weak, and standing up to tyranny.
Hang on, I’m basically just running a cross between Masks and Star Wars, aren’t I?
This is an early playtest edition of the official Avatar RPG due for release next year. It is a Powered by the Apocalypse game so it is fairly rules-light and story-focussed. No prior knowledge of the TV shows is required as it is based on fairly well-established fantasy tropes, and it is based on a setting outside of the show anyway.
Format: Zoom, Discord to roll dice, Google Sheets for character sheets
Age Rating: U
Content Advisories: Fantasy colonialism and war.
BriEscape This RPG (The Gym/In-Convenience Store/10 Pin Panic)
System: The system is from Escape This Podcast, it’s a mix of escape room adventure and very basic text-based RPG mechanics (no dice).
Description: This will be a series of 1 or 2 escape room TTRPGs set in the contemporary US. A competitive bowling team on the way to the big competition in Detroit, you find yourself dealing with shady business in your gym, defending a store instead of getting roadtrip snacks, and – as though your luck wasn’t already bad enough – getting sabotaged by a competing team. Can you make it to your game and win the championship?
This game will be fairly relaxed and light in tone. There are no character sheets, and the level of charater roleplaying will be up to the group.
The escape rooms in the adventure are prewritten, and have specific set solutions. There’ll also be narrating in-between the individual escape rooms that I’d prefer you to go along with? If you hate railroading and having to find exact solutions to riddles this probably isn’t for you.
Format: Video preferred
Age Rating: 15
Content Advisories: CW being locked in, riddles
