Drunk Space Pirate: Non-Denominational Winter Celebration Special

System: Drunk Space Pirate (Homebrew)
GM: Morgan Kane
Description: Drunk Space Pirate is a collaborative storytelling game where you are all drunk space pirates. In it, you have three stats: Drunk, Space, and Pirate. You can switch between being a player and a GM at will; your crew’s previous (very festive) adventure is already over, and as the only survivors of the latest galactic clusterf❚❚k, it’s now up to you to recount the story to anyone who’ll listen over a pint or twelve of eggnog, embellishing, omitting, and retconning the details as you see fit. Expect a lot of “Pirates of the Carribean – but in space!”-style action comedy, a big helping of hilarious sociopathy and backstabbing bastardry, and a generous sprinkling of holiday cheer. So sharpen your ion-hooks, tinsel up your peg legs, mull your rum, and get ready to leave a trail of destruction in your wakes. It’s going to be a Non-Denominational Winter Celebration to remember (at least until the whiskey kicks in).

Content Advisories: Strong Language, Excessive Alcohol/Drug Abuse, Imitable Behaviour, Graphic (but hilarious) violence, and Moderate Peril.

John McClane’s Christmas Holiday

System: Jason Statham’s Big Vacation (One-Page RPG)
GM: Vivek Santayana
Description: This one-shot is based on the classic Christmas film Die Hard! New York City cop John McClane is visiting his (ex)wife in LA for the Nakatomi Corporation’s Christmas party. The reunion is somewhat inconvenienced when a German terrorists attack the Nakatomi Plaza and take civilians hostage. It’s up to John McClane to go and rescue everyone and defeat the terrorists. The problem is that John McClane isn’t actually a competent cop. He doesn’t really have what it takes to defeat the terrorists. That’s where you come in: the PCs will play John McClane’s staff — his tour guide, agent, lawyer, and private security — who are the real people doing all the badass stuff. It’s up to you to defeat Hanz Gruber, make John look good, and stop him from hurting himself through his unpredictable actions. This is a silly one-page RPG. No knowledge of Die Hard required. Yippie Kai Yay M*****f*****!
Format: Voice and video over Zoom. Discord to roll dice.
Spaces: 4
Age Rating: 12
Content Advisories: Action film violence. Swearing.

Portals and Teleports

System: Homebrew system, rules light, based off crash pandas but less racing
GM: Rowan Edmunds

Format: I will be testing discord and zoom for voice and using tabletop sim for maps.
Spaces: 5

Mrs. Clause has been murdered by the infamous, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and you are tasked with journeying to Santa’s workshop in the north pole and putting a stop to his tyranny. Save Our Santa

System: Courage (very simple homebrew)
GM: Stephen McMorland
Description: Inside The Dreaming, poor old Saint Nick has become trapped, as Oneiromancers you are the only hope to deliver The Spirit of Christmas from the clutches of The Dread Lord. Non gory horror elements, untested new game system so you will be pioneers, mostly psychological horror and some dark themes maybe.
Format: Video/Voice, probably on Discord, physical dice probably best
Spaces: 5
Age Rating: 18
Content Advisories: As the game deals with the subject of fear there might be some triggering, please advise GM if you feel triggered in any way, I’m going to avoid gore and also certain stuff which I’m not willing to deal with myself.

Someone Stole Santa!

System: Feng Shui 2
GM: Angus Balkham
Description: The 90s. Christmas. Hong Kong. You were enjoying shopping; taking in the sights; drinking tea. Then the triads showed up. Now the the mall’s shot to hell, and Santa is missing! This is a mid-weight, combat-heavy game inspired by 90’s HK action films, but no familiarity with that genre is required. The tone is light, silly, and sincere. All are welcome, but there is some mental arithmetic needed for the system!
Format: Discord for voice/optional video; Roll20 for dice and initiative
Spaces: 5
Age Rating: 12
Content Advisories: Action-movie violence.

The Uninvited Visitor

System: Craig’s Christmas Homebrew
GM: Craig Barnes
Description: It’s Christmas day and little Suzie shakes her parents awake. They’re tired but the joy in their daughters eyes puts smiles on their faces as they rise from bed. Together the trio descends the staircase and examines the half eaten plate of cookies and empty glass of milk. Suzie shakes with excitement at the PROOF that Santa has visited. She pays no attention to the confused glances her parents make to eachother. They enter the Lounge, with the tree dominating the room. Dozens of brightly wrapped presents litter the floor and Suzie feels like she might burst with excitement. she begins to eviscerate the packaging with energy only a child on Christmas can muster. She’s far to engrossed to notice her parents hushed conversation behind her back. Or how their faces grow from confusion, to worry, to fear. She doesn’t understand when she’s pulled away from her presents by her mother or why her father is checking the locks on the door. Other versions of this morning are repeated across the planet as local authorities found themselves mobbed by phonecall after phonecall reporting Christmas day break ins. Only the culprits didn’t take anything, intact they left a number of packages filled with the requests of children at each address they entered. And now, governments and PI agency’s around the world are setting out with one mission. They’re going to find Santa Clause.
