Happy New Year, Adventurers!

I hope you’re all enjoying the holidays and have had a good start to the year. This is just a quick reminder that game submissions are currently open.

If you’re continuing a game or would like to start a new one this year, please make sure to register your game in time. As always, the deadline to submit your game is 24 hours before that pitch session is due to start, so the cut-off times for this round of pitches are:

• Tuesday the 11th of January at 6pm for Wednesday evening games
• Saturday the 15th of January at 6pm for Sunday afternoon and evening games

Hello there, Adventurers!

Hopefully, the end of term is treating you well and you’ve got a chance to relax over the winter break. Good luck to any of you with exams in the next two days, you’re almost there!

Continuing Online
Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the decision to continue running online next semester. As things stand with EUSA room bookings, we aren’t currently able to secure a venue with a large enough capacity for the society or for the full four hours that games last. The rising concerns about the new variant and the potential return of stricter social distancing rules returning have also influenced this decision. We understand that many of you will have been looking forward to returning to in-person gaming (we were too), but with how things seem to be progressing at the moment, we won’t be returning until September 2022 at the earliest.

So for now, we’ll be continuing to run online on the GEAS Discord server in the same manner as we have been. Our first round of pitches will be taking place in mid-January, on:

• Wednesday the 12th of January at 6pm
• Sunday the 16th of January at 1pm
• Sunday the 16th of January at 6pm

Submitting a Game for January

Hello there, Adventurers!
This is a reminder that reptiches are this week, on Wednesday 3rd November at 6pm and Sunday 7th November at 1pm and 6pm. This is an opportunity for players to change game and for new games to be pitched.

Reptiches will be run in the same way as pitches were, with GMs pitching their game in the voice channel and then players being allowed to sign up. We’ll be letting returning players have the first choice, followed by those who don’t have a game or are changing game.

All GMs that are continuing their games are required to let us know and to repitch their game. This is to allow players a chance to change game if they want to, especially if they don’t feel comfortable telling their current GM that they want to drop out. As usual, the deadline for submissions will be 24 hours before the game is due to be pitched.

Hey there Adventurers,

I hope you’re all enjoying your campaigns so far! We’re now coming up to the midpoint of the semester, so we’ll be letting our lovely GMs repitch their games to fill any empty spaces they have. This will also be an opportunity for new games to be pitched to the membership.

Halloween One-Shots

This Saturday, the 30th of October at 6pm we’ll be having some spooky seasonal one-shots. We’re currently short on GMs and had over 30 people register interest beforehand, so if anyone would like to run a game, they can submit them via this form: https://geas.org.uk/halloween

Memberships

It’s also really important to make sure you’ve bought a membership and posted proof of purchase in the #membership-signups channel on Discord. We’ll be restricting access from today, so only confirmed members will be able to access non-public channels.

I just wanted to make a quick correction to my last email. I erroneously said that games pitches are at 6pm, when we actually have two separate games pitches tomorrow. Pitches for afternoon games will start at 1pm and evening games being pitched later at 6pm.
