Hello there, Adventurers!
This is a reminder that reptiches are this week, on Wednesday 3rd November at 6pm and Sunday 7th November at 1pm and 6pm. This is an opportunity for players to change game and for new games to be pitched.

Reptiches will be run in the same way as pitches were, with GMs pitching their game in the voice channel and then players being allowed to sign up. We’ll be letting returning players have the first choice, followed by those who don’t have a game or are changing game.

All GMs that are continuing their games are required to let us know and to repitch their game. This is to allow players a chance to change game if they want to, especially if they don’t feel comfortable telling their current GM that they want to drop out. As usual, the deadline for submissions will be 24 hours before the game is due to be pitched.

Hey there Adventurers,

I hope you’re all enjoying your campaigns so far! We’re now coming up to the midpoint of the semester, so we’ll be letting our lovely GMs repitch their games to fill any empty spaces they have. This will also be an opportunity for new games to be pitched to the membership.

Halloween One-Shots

This Saturday, the 30th of October at 6pm we’ll be having some spooky seasonal one-shots. We’re currently short on GMs and had over 30 people register interest beforehand, so if anyone would like to run a game, they can submit them via this form: https://geas.org.uk/halloween

Memberships

It’s also really important to make sure you’ve bought a membership and posted proof of purchase in the #membership-signups channel on Discord. We’ll be restricting access from today, so only confirmed members will be able to access non-public channels.

I just wanted to make a quick correction to my last email. I erroneously said that games pitches are at 6pm, when we actually have two separate games pitches tomorrow. Pitches for afternoon games will start at 1pm and evening games being pitched later at 6pm. Greetings Adventurers!
This is a reminder that the deadline to submit Sunday games is at 6pm today. We’ve had an unprecedented number of new players this year, so if you’ve ever considered GMing then now is the time. If you’d like to GM a game at either the afternoon or evening slots, then you can register your game here: https://geas.org.uk/pitches

Pitches for Sunday games will be held at 1pm and 6pm on the Discord server, and I’ll be publishing the lists of available games at 6:30pm tonight. Both listings will appear on this page: https://geas.org.uk/tag/game-listings/

We’d also like to thank you all again for bearing with the technical issues we had during Wednesday pitches and how quickly the games filled up. To help things run more smoothly this weekend we’ll be doing things a bit differently.

• Each game will have its own dedicated sign-up channel on Discord.
• These channels will then be revealed after all GMs have pitched their games.
• Players wanting to join a game just have to write a single message in that channel to show their interest.
• The committee will then manually add players in order of the chat history.

We’re also looking at ways to make sure everyone has the opportunity to join at least one game a week. So, if the chaos of Wednesday put you off attending tomorrows pitches then rest assured, we’re making some positive changes.

Just a quick reminder that Tuesday 21st at 6pm is the deadline to submit Wednesday games. If you’d like to GM a game at GEAS, on either Wednesdays or Sundays, then you can register your game here:

Pitches for Wednesday games will be held at 6pm on the Discord server, with newcomers to the society having first choice. I’ll be publishing the list of available games just after 6pm Tuesday, so keep your eyes open for that.

Membership Sales
The issues with the EUSA webstore seem to be mostly resolved, although some people are experiencing issues with the payment processor. We’ve been in contact with EUSA to get this issue resolved and we’ll let you know when it has been. We won’t be cracking down on memberships until next month, so please don’t worry if you can’t pay for membership at the moment.
